Miles Morales, also known as Spider-Man, is a biracial character of African American and Puerto Rican descent. He was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli and made his first appearance in Ultimate Fallout #4 in 2011.
Miles Morales grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and eventually gained superhuman abilities similar to the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker, after being bitten by a genetically-altered spider. He operates as a superhero in the Marvel Comics universe, fighting crime and protecting the citizens of New York City.
In the film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" released in 2018, Morales made his animated debut as the lead character.
